Upp Games closes with its final event in Germany

 

Final diffusion event: February 8th, 2020, Wassenberg (Germany)

February 10th, 2020. The German city of Wassenberg has been chosen by Westdeutscher Handwerkskammertag -partner in charge of the technological part of Upp Games- to hold the final dissemination event of the European project, in which the application for mobile platforms with serious games to improve the skills of professionals in the sector in terms of Health and Safety at height has been presented to the public.

About twenty attendees from different economic sectors, including: entrepreneurs from the construction industry, craftsmen, public administration and other stakeholders, tested the Upp Games app, which received good ratings. The participants evaluated in a positive way the level of difficulty and the questions asked. In addition, the Trainers Guide was considered very useful and clear, because it allows to know the pedagogical background at the level of skills and knowledge of the proposed games.

 

Upp Games holds its info day during the II Conference on Innovation in Training in the Construction sector organised by Fundación Laboral

 

Spanish Infoday: October 30th, 2019, Madrid (Spain)

October 31th, 2019. Fundación Laboral de la Construcción has presented Upp Games during the II Conference on Innovation in Training for the Construction Industry, held at the Bertelsmann space in Madrid, on 30 October. This event has been held annually since 2018. This year the event focused on the sector's new competencies, the use of BIM and the most practical systems for learning about Occupational Risk Prevention.

Juan José Juárez, senior Project Manager at Fundación Bertelsmann, was in charge of inaugurating the conference. He took advantage of the moment to stress that "training processes are increasingly complex and must be adapted to the new times, so technology is already an intrinsic part of any professional".

After the presentation of Upp Games by Belén Blanco, Project Manager Officer at Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, the debate continued on the innovative training systems in construction and the attractiveness to young people, women and other groups.

During the round table moderated by José Antonio Viejo, Director of Training and Employment at Fundación Laboral, and in which participated: Aída Machado, technical director at Integesa; Mario Rondán, co-founder and head of Strategy and Innovation at EPC Tracker; Óscar Aranda, director of Management Systems at the Lobe Group; Izan Liarte, worker at the Lobe Group and student of the Fundación Laboral de Aragón; and Juan Lobaco, head of Studies of the Vocational Training Centre of this institution. The group discussed the importance of training to qualify construction professionals.
