Centro de Formação Profissional da Indústria da Construção Civil e Obras Públicas do Sul (CENFIC)

The Centro de Formação Profissional da Indústria da Construção Civil e Obras Públicas do Sul (CENFIC) is a non-profit entity, created in 1981 by a protocol between IEFP, IP - Instituto do Emprego e Formação Profissional and three Builders’ Associations.

CENFIC’s main activity is the development of initial and continuous education and training in the field of the construction crafts. The main training centre is situated in Lisbon (Prior Velho), but 22 regional training spots are also settled in the centre and south of Portugal.

The expertise and activity of CENFIC include:

  • Human resources training and consultancy.
  • Vocational training of company owners, managers and technicians working in the construction industry.
  • Training of worksite supervisors and coordinators.
  • Development of capacities and skills of workers under the scope of continuous vocational training, specifically oriented towards health and safety, as well as energy saving.
  • Initial vocational training of youngsters and unemployed people, in cooperation with social partners and the Portuguese Ministry of Education.

CENFIC’s mission is to prepare qualified professionals to fulfil the several tasks which are part of the Building Construction and Public Works Sector, through the development of Vocational Training Courses that:

  • Satisfy the needs of training and corresponding to the expectations of the clients;
  • Contribute to dignify and create a new generation of qualified professionals;
  • Promote the individual and the professional development of trainees.

BTP CFA Indre-et-Loire

BTP CFA Centre Val de Loire is a regional association which manages five Vocational Training centers (BTP CFA) in the construction sector: the BTP CFA Eure-et-Loir (Chartres), the BTP CFA of Indre (Chateauroux), the BTP CFA Indre and Loire (Saint Pierre des Corps), the BTP CFA Loir-et-Cher (Blois) and the BTP CFA Loiret (Orleans).

Regionalization allows a common and coherent educational actions, a centralized approach to management, the pooling of logistical and technical resources, including European mobility.

The diversification of training allows autonomy of each center, while offering a diversified training offer to meet local training needs.

The BTP CFA Centre Val de Loire is actively engaged in mobility project in the framework of Erasmus+ program in different professional fields such as in joinery, carpentry, metalwork, roofing, plumbing, masonry, tiling, painting / decoration and public works.
