Fourth partnership meeting: March 19th, 2020, online.

March 20th, 2020. VRoad has successfully completed the first seventeen months of the project, as shown by the coordinator of the initiative at the fourth meeting of the consortium, which was held on a virtual way because of the isolation policies implemented by European governments as a result of COVID19.

Despite the health, political and social crisis, European consortium continues working, so they have met to discuss the general status of the initiative and of the virtual reality application, as well as the next steps.

For its part, the technological partner, GA Consultants, presented the new advances in the scenarios design, which show in a realistic way a road, where it is necessary to carry out some works, such as: lane deviation, replacement of guardrail and vertical signal, and action in case of emergency. The objective of VRoad is to help this sectoral professionals to get started in the labour field, through virtual simulation, trying to reduce the accident rate in this kind of works.

Dissemination in France: December 19th, 2019, at Tours (France).

December 23rd, 2019. This year, the diplomas ceremony of the partner BTP CFA Indre-et-Loire was attended by more than 300 people and included the participation of the VRoad project, as part of the European initiatives in which the French centre is involved to address training in the construction sector.  

During the ceremony, which took place at Tours Congress Center, the project teams organised several workshops on international development. One of them was focused on virtual reality as a didactic tool and on the danger of the roadworks, with twenty participants that addressed the VRoad work in this area.
