Dissemination in Spain: November 29th, 2019, at Zaragoza (Spain).

December 3rd, 2019. The technological partner of VRoad, GA Group, presented last November, in Zaragoza, the European project to more than fifteen attendees, who were able to test how the virtual experience of VRoad will be.

The Project Officers showed the application as a training action addressed to workers and unemployed people from the roadworks  sector, with the objective to reinforce their knowledge with safety. This is the raison d'être of VRoad, promoting the practical learning of professionals before stepping on the pavement, thus reducing the risk of being run over, falling, etc.

During the conference, the project team tried to raise awareness of the risks involved in this sector, according to the data recorded, is one of the sectors with the highest number of accidents at work. In 2018 there were 43 accidents with 60 victims, with 8 deaths and 13 seriously injured. These alarming figures reinforce the need to train these professionals safely and to alert road users to their presence.

Dissemination in Italy: November 16th, 2019, at Turin (Italy).

November 19th, 2019. The Italian partner of Formedil Piedmont has disseminated the advances made by VRoad in the field of Health and Safety in roadworks at the annual Restructura Fair, which was held in the Turin region. 

Of all those attending to the Italian event on the latest developments in construction and renovation, around twenty professionals from the sector were able to discover and to learn about the real scenarios of virtual simulation road works developed by the european initiative of VRoad. 

The public evalued in a positive way the technological innovation of the initiative, highlighting the opportunity that the application offers to train the professionals in a safe and healthy way, allowing to practice the daily works of this sector before facing them.
